Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about coverage, alerts, CarPlay, and privacy.
Why don't I see any aircraft right now?
Most of the time that simply means nothing is flying near you. Check that location access and internet are on, try a larger radius, and remember coverage focuses on the supported European countries.
Which countries does RadarCopter cover?
RadarCopter covers 26 European countries: Spain, France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Czechia, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia, Romania, and Turkey — and coverage keeps growing.
Does RadarCopter work with CarPlay?
Not yet — CarPlay support is under development and will arrive in a future update. In the meantime, voice and sound alerts keep you informed while you drive.
Does the app work in the background?
Yes. Background monitoring keeps scanning while you travel and warns you with voice, sound, or silent alerts the moment something enters your radius.
Where does the flight data come from?
Live aircraft positions come from third-party aviation providers such as Flightradar24 and, where enabled, public ADS-B data from ADSB.lol.
What about my privacy?
Your location is used in real time only and is not stored, and there are no accounts. The full details are in the Privacy Policy linked below.
Is RadarCopter on Android too?
Yes — the Android app is available on Google Play, alongside the iPhone app on the App Store.
How do I get help?
Use Report a Problem inside the app, or email support@radarcopter.org and we will get back to you.
